Michael Nishimura
Advisor

Michael Nishimura is an experienced, retired senior military officer who has led large complex logistics teams around the US and overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Thailand. He is also a Southeast Asia regional language and cultural specialist fluent in Thai and Lao and partnered with key allies in support of US objectives. In a previous role, he led a 320-person organization responsible for all logistics functions in support of the B-2 stealth bombers. Michael finished his military career teaching national security studies, leadership, and communication to officer candidates at Duke University.

 

Michael began his career in an enterprise-level supply chain management role after earning his degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University, where he was the team captain for his Little 500 cycling team. He later earned a Master's of International Relations from Oklahoma University and an MBA from Duke University. In addition, he attended a year long executive leadership course in Thailand serving alongside US allies and partners. Michael recently retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years as a Lieutenant Colonel.
